Run out of gift giving ideas for those special friends when they move into their new home - or the new baby across the street? How about a one year old birthday celebration - or a sick friend? Here are some gift baskets you can create that will be greatly appreciated by even the hardest person to please.
Purchase inexpensive baskets and put some sort of new towel or dishrag in. Then arrange items to match the theme of your gift. Mix homemade items with purchased goods or add a gift card or a booklet of chores you'll do for your recipient to redeem for haircuts, babysitting, an errand, etc. Be creative and keep it simple. You can wrap these gifts with a dish towel or beach towel or nothing at all.

Housewarming Gifts
I included spray bottles of my homemade cleaning products, dish rag, dishtowel, 2 homemade scrubbies, box of Borax (which is a great cleaner) and a cookbook from my son's school that I had them sign, to give it a more personal touch!

Baby Gifts
Here is a book I purchased on clearance, hand knit socks and bonnet and a baby chew ring!

Kids Gifts
Here are some t-shirts, ball and glove set and a couple of early reading books!

Homemade Food Gifts
These are home canned items from my garden, Pickled Beets, Salsa, Cucumber Chunk Pickles, Applesauce, Jelly and Pickle Relish. You can also do home baked goodies or a Cookies in the Jar mix!
I've also done Goodie Baskets with basic staple items people need and use every day:
- Postage Stamps
- Scotch Tape
- Scratch Pad and Pencil
- Scissors
- Household string
- Duct Tape
- Batteries
- Light Bulbs
- Safety Pins
- Paper Clips
- Paper Towels
- Klenix
- Napkins
- Chip Clips
- Hand Lotion
- Toilet Paper
- Shampoo/Creme Rinse
- Toothpaste
- Soap
The ideas just keep on going for items to include and you can make your own baskets for gift giving or sew a cloth bag to use as the gift wrapping and the recipient can use it as a shopping bag for years to come.
Start putting your ideas together for that next birthday, graduation or wedding gift you need!!
