Homemade Gift Certificates - A gift of your time to create and carry out the task provided on homemade gift certificates, comes from the heart. Use your talents and expertise for thoughtful gift giving ideas, with these money saving ideas for all types of occasions.
Having a difficult time determining a gift for a Birthday, Wedding, Housewarming, Anniversary, Thank you, etc? Think about whom the gift is for and what talents you have that would be helpful and appreciated by the recipient. It may be your child's or grandchild's birthday and you could give them a gift certificate prior to their birthday for a fun activity or event that is important to them. Here I used a Microsoft Word form (as the gift certificate template), modified the wording with a couple of ideas (depending on the age of the child) and added a colored design.

Maybe your gift is for an anniversary, adult birthday or a friend who has moved into a new house. These certificates were created using a Microsoft Word form (as the gift certificate template), , modified to fit what I wanted to give. They came 3 to a page as printed below.

You can keep the gift certificates on 1 page (if they are all for the same person) or cut them apart individually, as I've done below. Insert them into your card or wrap them up in a box, if you would prefer.

What do you give for mom and dad's birthday, anniversary, Mother's or Father's Day? Believe me when I say they would love the gift of your time and help with tasks that are difficult for them to do. Here is a Microsoft Word form with 10 certificates or gift cards for one task (like a car wash, yard mowing, garden weeding or a haircut), or you can have each certificate be different. Keep them all together on one sheet or cut apart and give as many as you want.

These ideas have all used a computer software template for the certificate templates, but you can hand make your own certificates with plain or colored paper, scissors, crayons, markers and stickers. Have your children or grandchildren help you create a hand made certificate, which would be a fun, inexpensive activity you could share together! Get your creative juices flowing and have FUN!
